“Introduction to Photography” – April’s Workshop

Take your photography to higher level with Dar Al Mussawir photography workshops.
Offering a great combination of theory and practical training, this workshop prepares participants to enter the world of professional photography. Open for novice and practicing photographers.

Schedule: Ten sessions program divided over five weeks on Mondays and Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Program:
Integral set of topics covered through indoor and outdoor sessions, assignments and projects.

Topics covered:

• Cameras, Light and Exposure.
• Exposure control and the related effects: Shutter speed, ISO, Aperture (Theory and practice, assignments)
• Lenses: focal length (mm) and types of lenses: properties and usage with different types of photography, hands on practice.
• Composition and Framing: Rules, hints and feedback on assignments. (Theory and Practice)
• Photoshop: Basics of Photoshop for photographers with a professional photo editor.
• Lighting: Studio and Outdoor lighting (Practical session)
• Photojournalism session by inspiring professional photojournalist.
• Darkroom session: A glimpse over the analogue photography by shooting and developing a B&W film and prints in the darkroom (practical session).

Training: A team of professional photographers and experienced trainers.

Cameras: Professional DSLR’s are available for the trainees.

*Special classes for non-Arabic speakers are held in English language.
